30 Days of Happiness Challenge

The 30 Days of Happiness Challenge is about taking a small action, every day, for thirty days, that brings a smile to your face.  That’s all there is to it.

“Happiness is the key to success, if you love what you are doing, you will be successful.” – Herman Cain

There are some amazing programs you can enroll in for your business this summer. Sometimes these months can tend to be a little sluggish for some businesses, so now seems like the perfect time to enroll – and that’s great.

I’m not talking about a challenge to grow your business, grow your Instagram, make six figures or become a YouTube star overnight. I’m talking about that thing that seems to have taken a backseat in the business world.

Happiness.

We’re all hustling away to that next launch so our business is successful so we can get that life we always wanted. And that’s great. Dreams don’t happen over night, you got to work for it.

But you know what else? You are living you life, right now. There’s some weird myth that we have to be miserable now, in order to be happy ‘in the end’, whenever that might be.

I’ve talked a lot about how stuck I was feeling in the post about the new re-brand, and I’m happy to say that the business is back on track and heading towards a place that I’m happy to be working towards.

But it really woke me up to the fact that I, and many other business owners out there, had really lost sight of…well…life.

Not just having fun within the business but remembering to have fun outside of the business. To remember, in fact, that there was life outside of the business.

Outside of the business? I know, it sounds strange and foreign but it does exist. I promise.

So I decided it had been a while since I had held a fun challenge for my Coffee Club members. We’ve had fun Instagram challenges and Valentine’s Day swaps, and we were well overdue for something fun.

And I actually wanted to do something that wasn’t hundred percent business related. Something that didn’t have any business motive behind it, that’s primary goal was’t to sell something, collect emails or build brand awareness.

Guys I just want to do something fun.

Do you remember what it was like to do something just because you wanted to? Because it was fun?

We need more of that in our lives.

What Is The Challenge?

So, here it is, 30 days of fun things you can do to bring a little it of happiness into your day. And if that sounds just too damn whimsical to you, remember that your mental well being and happiness has a very direct connection to your business.

I would like to invite you to join me in a small declaration: that (starting 17th July) for the next 30 days, you will do one small thing everyday that puts a smile on your face.

Now, I’ve put together 30 suggestions, one for each day, if you need a little help. You can join in on FB, Instagram and Twitter #ahappyboss.

Let’s bring a little happiness back to business.
What you can do is get your very own declaration like the one above. Print it out, fill your name in and stick up on the wall to remind yourself to smile at least once a day. Heck, do it digitally and pin it to the top of your social media feed to remind yourself.
And let’s share it about! I’m serious guys, seeing sad bosses everywhere is hurting my chest. We need to bring some fun back into business.

How Do I Join In?

Initially the challenge will start on the 17th, each day will be a different prompt to do something that will bring some happiness to you (and others). Do your best to do as many of them as possible and we can all share our efforts on social media with the #ahappyboss.
